New vehicles for client PHOENIX Healthcare

PHOENIX is a large and successful group of companies ensuring patients and the public have access to high-quality healthcare in the UK and across Europe, specialising in medicine distribution, pharmaceutical care and pharmacy based primary care services. PHOENIX works in partnership with the NHS, healthcare commissioners and providers as well as pharmaceutical manufacturers to:

- Provide the NHS with a safe, reliable and cost-effective supply chain to ensure patients get the medicines they need in hospitals, community pharmacies and GP surgeries

- Improve access to professional healthcare advice and support, particularly in deprived areas. Help patients understand and manage their medication – in particular those with multiple long-term conditions in order to avoid complications and hospital admissions

- Advise people on how they can live longer and healthier lives through lifestyle changes and provide the support they need to make those changes e.g. smoking cessation

- Improve awareness of – and early screening for – potential life-changing, long-term conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity etc.

PHOENIX Healthcare supports over 4,000 community pharmacies, including direct management of 484 rowlands branches; delivering over 250 million packs of medicines each year through 13 depots situated across the UK. The business employs over 5,500 people who provide support to the 25 million patients who visit its owned and supported pharmacies each year.

We worked with PHOENIX to understand their refrigerated transport needs we then worked with MAR Cooling Solutions and VMS Refrigeration to create newly converted Sprinters and Connects to meet their exacting requirements.
