CONGRATULATIONS TO ICELAND & COURIER EXPRESS FOR WINNING BIG AT THE TCS&D AWARDS

Congratulations to all the winners at the TCS&D Awards and for those that were recognised in the industry. The TCS&D Awards identify companies and individuals who have made a notable difference in the temperature controlled storage and distribution industry. It was a fantastic evening, especially for our customers, Iceland Foods & Courier Express who walked away with awards showcasing their commitment and dedication in the industry.

As Iceland continue to grow their home delivery operations, it was a tremendous achievement for the business, highlighting their efforts to becoming a valued and respected brand in the UK supermarket sector. As winners of best fleet management, best refrigerated vehicle, and home delivery operator of the year, this is a testament to their hard working attitude and pro-active approach.

Commenting on their success, Jonathan Melia, Head of Delivered Sales, Iceland Foods, said “It is a special moment when external organisations recognise the hard work and efforts you put in on a daily basis. Iceland along with our partners constantly strive to improve our efficiency, service to our customers and provide our valued store teams with the very best processes and equipment. When the opportunity arose to be bench-marked against other leading retailers, service providers, vehicles and management teams, it was something that we took very seriously.

To come out on top again and be recognised as having the best fleet management, best refrigerated vehicle and also winning the home delivery operator of the year is really something we at Iceland are very proud of indeed and only inspires us to continue to improve our award winning Operation.”

The Refrigerated Courier of the Year Award has been awarded to Courier Express, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialised temperature-controlled transportation solutions. As a customer for over 5 years, they have continued their expansion across the UK, adding 5 new vehicles to their fleet in 2016. After another consecutive year of growth, this award reflects their dedication and determination to be appreciated and recognised in the refrigerated courier industry.

John Lee, Managing director, Courier Express, said: “We are incredibly proud to have won the refrigerated courier of the year award and pleased to have been recognized for our growing services in the sector. Such an accolade is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Courier Express team, who strive to provide our customers with a high quality service and experience at all times.”
